BIO-MI was featured at the “EIT and Industry in Horizon Europe” Conference, held on 18 June 2026 at the National and University Library in Zagreb, Croatia. The company was represented by Ivona Miketa, our General Manager, who delivered a presentation sharing BIO-MI’s experience and best practices in innovation, international collaboration, and participation in European projects.
The conference brought together representatives from industry, research organizations, higher education institutions, and the public sector to explore the opportunities offered by Horizon Europe and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) for fostering innovation, strengthening competitiveness, and building international partnerships.
During her presentation, Ivona highlighted BIO-MI’s activities and emphasized the importance of engaging businesses in European research and innovation programmes. Special attention was given to collaboration between industry, academia, and the innovation ecosystem as a key driver of sustainable growth, technological advancement, and the development of market-oriented solutions. The presentation also placed a strong emphasis on European projects in which BIO-MI is actively involved as a project partner, including GRECO, BioMPAS, UpCycle, and BioPackMan. Our projects showcase BIO-MI’s commitment to driving innovation, sustainability, and circular bioeconomy solutions through international collaboration.
The event provided an excellent platform for knowledge exchange, networking with key stakeholders, and learning about current funding opportunities and support mechanisms available through Horizon Europe and the EIT community.
